snapshots lately: 005

It's Raymund's birthday today. :) Since he's always wanted a puppy, I bought him one. :D

As usual for special and not-so-special occasions, we headed to South Bank for dinner. Raymund's been craving Amici's food and I was craving crepes so we went to Amici's and Max Brenner. :)
Raymund had carbonara
Tandoori lamb gourmet pizza
For the first time we ordered something totally different - crepes, hot dark chocolate marshmallow for him and white chocolate chai for me. I think I'd stick to chai latte next time. :D

Walking around the parklands was a bit nostalgic. It's been almost a year since we first went there to watch the Riverfire which opened the Brisbane Festival. And then the smell of chlorine from the pools reminded me of how I used to love going to my aunts' company outings and thinking being sunburnt was worth it (even though I can't really swim). The drive home was pleasant especially since this song was playing on the radio (REM version). I think all these are telling me one thing: I should really sign up for swimming lessons. :)
The photograph reflects, every streetlight a reminder
PS: Happy birthday Raymund! Love you always. :)
