snapshots lately: 003

IKEA! One of my favorite places on earth! I love shopping here, probably because I'm still at that stage where I'm living in an apartment which I fill with stuff that are either from Target or Ikea. :D I like Ikea better cos there's really nothing too pricey here, plus they have clean and cute designs. Here are some shots from our trip to Ikea and what we went home with!

I love how despite it being too sunny in this part of the world, the skies and clouds usually look like the first 5 seconds of The Simpsons (ie intro).

Pacific Highway - as I've mentioned in FB, this is the 1st project I ever worked on, particularly in the upgrade works done in some areas in NSW (Oxley-Woolgoolga) back in 2007, where we did some hydraulic modeling. It just seemed surreal to me to be actually in it about 5 yrs later (though this is still in Queensland and not exactly the stretch we did).

I like this a lot, even though red isn't my favorite colour (OTH Peyton's room was red). I like the finishing on the bed and the bedside table. :)

Chandeliers! I bought a couple for our house in Phils some years ago. The one in our living room is actually quite small so I took a picture of this bigger chandelier to show to my mom, see if she likes it. I wonder how I'll bring it with me though...

We had the kiddie meal for snack. It doesn't look that appetizing here but it tastes good as always. I guess I'll put more cream in my meatball sauce when I prepare this at home.

Of course we had to take some with us! Yum!

I'm obviously loving the blue and purple combination right now!

Another shot. Things we bought: napkins, clips, finger puppets, placemats (we had the same placemat in Singapore!), hand towel and cereal bowls. Plus some other stuff which didn't make it into this picture cos they're not too colourful! :p

I love this white chest of drawers. Crisp and cheap. :)

Art direction by moi (threw my yoga mat in there cos it also has a bright apple green colour)! :D Btw, I actually enjoyed assembling this chest. I did 70% of it. I'd like to think Raymund's proud of me, he said he didn't think a lot of girls can handle hammers and screw drivers. I guess it's the civil engineer in me that enjoyed doing this sort of stuff. ;)

Til my next post!
