I'll be back in the Philippines in a few days! While I'm excited to see my family, I'm also nervous about seeing everyone else (and sad that I'll be away from Raymund for 12 days :s). That's because my skin still hasn't cleared up and the first thing I'm gonna do after arriving at NAIA is see a dermatologist! Really wish she could make my skin significantly better in less than a week. :D
I haven't been home for 8 months and I just have these questions lingering in my head on what to expect when I get there, like:
1. How hot is it? It's autumn here now, and though it's not even as cold as North California fall, it is definitely not hot anymore, and on most mornings, I'd ask myself why I'm not wearing a cardigan or blazer. I haven't packed my clothes yet, but my typical outfit there would probably just be tshirt and jeans, or shorts.
2. What's on TV? We don't have TFC, so I'm totally clueless on what's on primetime bida. Lol. :D
3. Is there anyone awake at 5am? I'm guessing I'll already be up by 5 since I usually wake up at 7 here. Unless of course my midnight flight on Tuesday screws up my body clock.
4. Is there rice/almond milk in the nearby grocery? I know my mom would feed me pandesal for breakfast but I'm bringing my own cereal, so I need milk with that. I've quit drinking cow's milk since last year. I'm sure soy milk's pretty common, but I try not to drink that too.
5. Will I get bangs? I'd only do that to hide imperfections of course. But probably not a good idea, since it would just irritate my skin more, and I don't have a big forehead.
Now I'm listing things I plan on doing when I get there:
1. Eat Turks shawarma
2. Get a haircut (less than $10 for a haircut - great deal!)
3. Mani, pedi
4. Gym before the mall opens
5. Meet up with friends
6. Wedding stuff - meet up with suppliers, oculars, fittings
7. Day at The Farm
8. LASIK
9. Cook, bake, etc.
10. Shopping, shopping, shopping :)
I'm excited already! Bye for now weekly coffee/muffin breaks and morning tea! :-s
And hello merienda (eg siomai, Spanish bread, Delifrance choquettes & churros con chocolate)! :)
